Optic Power Projects Showcase

Led the development and optimization of web applications across diverse industries, contributing as a Senior Full Stack Engineer in a fully remote and agile environment. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric, high-performance solutions using modern web technologies. Focused on improving performance, scalability, and development workflows across multiple projects.

Driving Scalable Web Solutions with Optic Power

Between July 2021 and February 2023, I worked as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Optic Power, contributing to a range of projects across fintech, gaming, marketing automation, and SaaS platforms. My focus was on building performant, scalable, and maintainable applications using a modern tech stack.

🚀 End-to-End Product Engineering

I was responsible for the full lifecycle of software development — from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring. Working closely with product managers and designers, I ensured that business requirements translated into seamless and engaging user experiences.

📈 Key Results Included

  • 🔧 Optimized API performance by 40%, refactoring bottlenecks and improving DB query efficiency.
  • 🧪 Reduced front-end load times by applying lazy loading, modularization, and state normalization with Redux and sagas.
  • 🤝 Delivered multiple production-ready platforms using React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL, collaborating with globally distributed teams in agile sprints.

🛠️ Modern Web Stack in Action

Optic Power’s projects spanned multiple domains, each requiring tailored solutions. Here’s how I leveraged the stack across teams:

  • Frontend: Built dynamic UIs using React.js and Next.js, applying Redux with sagas for advanced state management. Used Styled Components and SASS for scalable styling, and maintained legacy support with Angular where required.
  • Backend: Developed scalable APIs using Node.js with Express, and contributed to event-driven microservices written in Elixir. Delivered both GraphQL and RESTful APIs, depending on platform needs.
  • Mobile: Enhanced cross-platform mobile apps with React Native, integrating features like deep linking, push notifications, and custom native modules for hardware-level interactions.
  • Data Layer: Combined MongoDB for flexible data modeling with PostgreSQL for strict transactional integrity and reporting capabilities.
  • Infrastructure: Deployed using Docker, managed cloud environments on AWS, and configured CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. Maintained Linux-based environments with best practices in DevOps and version control using Git.

💡 Project Spotlight

  • Team Liquid: Helped build and maintain Team Liquid’s fan engagement platform, enabling fans to earn rewards through actions like watching streams, joining events, and interacting on social media. My work included integrating YouTube Live events into the point system, enhancing real-time reward tracking.
  • NurtureBoss: Enhanced their automated communication engine by working on email/sms pipelines, personalized triggers, and third-party API integrations, improving message delivery speed and customer retention.
  • Stardust.gg: Developed an OAuth React component library using AWS Cognito and Lambdas, enabling seamless onboarding for users of their Web3 gaming infrastructure.

🧠 Soft Skills and Collaboration

Beyond coding, I contributed by mentoring junior developers, participating in architectural discussions, and implementing agile ceremonies that enhanced team velocity and ownership.

Working at Optic Power allowed me to work on a variety of impactful products across industries. It sharpened both my technical execution and my ability to navigate client needs in fast-moving environments.
